BABY

In November, 2005, I was alone and needed company.  I visited the St. Joseph Animal Shelter and there was a gray/white cat sitting there.  I stood awhile and looked at her, then walked away.  A friend with me said I think you need to go back and get that cat.

She (Baby) has been like a gift from my husband in Heaven.  She is so much like he was-always wants to be close and likes to share my food.  She would sleep close every night if I would let her.  When I am on the computer, she is laying right up in front of the screen with her head on the mouse.  She is always good to use the litter box and has never made a mess on the floor.  She is also getting like me, fat around the middle.

I am so glad I adopted her and more seniors need to know they can adopt at a senior discount.

SEINFELD

In October 2007 my Mom and I adopted Seinfeld from the St. Joseph Animal Shelter.  He is thriving in his new home and enjoys his new family as much as we enjoy him.

MAGGIE & MINDY

In June 2007, I adopted Maggie and Mindy, two Pekinese dogs, from the St. Joseph Animal Shelter.  I went to the Shelter to get one dog and came home the next day with two little companions!!  They have adapted very well since the first day I got them.  Maggie is in my lap as soon as I sit down.  The Shelter staff was very polite, courteous and helpful while I carefully selected my dogs.  I appreciate the senior citizen discount that was available to me.  Maggie and Mindy are very special and I feel so fortunate to have them after losing my Pekinese, Barney, in February.
