Friends of the Animal Shelter Spay Day USA 2010 is February 23rd

Event Description:

Spay Day is an annual campaign of The Humane Society of the United States and Humane Society International to inspire people to save animal lives by spaying or neutering pets and feral cats.

Officially the last Tuesday of February, Spay Day includes events and activities taking place throughout February across the United States and U.S. territories, and around the world.

The main objective of Spay Day is to inspire as many people as possible to have their pets—or other animals in need—spayed or neutered and informing people of the importance of spaying or neutering their pets to reduce the numbers euthanized in shelters.

 

Our program is limited only to low-income families within Buchanan County, Missouri

and forms must be received NO later than February 19, 2010.

 

 


Pick up or print out an application form. Make sure to include the proper documentation to show proof of income level. Bring your completed form to the

St. Joseph Animal Control & Rescue Shelter by February 19th for consideration. Those eligible for the program will be notified by phone. 

Spay/neuter surgeries will be scheduled with participating veterinary offices.
